About CycleStar
CycleStar is the home base for Mitch Durham and his love of bicycles.
I live in Western Arkansas and invite you to join me in bicycle related endeavors. I am particularly interested in recumbents
and mountain biking. I own an ILoveBent Trike, Rans V2, Wind SWB, and a Sun EZ1 (my wife's). I also have two trike
frames in a partially built status, one tadpole and one delta style. For mountain biking, I have a Specialized
Stumpjumper FS and an older DiamondBack Ascent. I've never been into road riding on a wedgie but I respect anyone
who can do this.
This site is a doorway to several of my project websites that are bicycle related.
These sites are in various stages of development with the most complete being JoyRiders and the least developed
being Cycletherapy and Skinny Bovine.
JoyRiders is a site dedicated to the recreational bike rider. A twist is that the basis for this
club is a commitment to what brings "True Joy," a relationship with God Anyone is welcome to join, but we
are upfront about where we place our allegience.
iBIKE is a site dedicated to advocacy issues related to bicycling. Of special interest, is developing
cycling as a vital part of city planning in my home community of Greenwood, AR.
Skinny Bovine is a site related to my hobby of designing recumbent trikes. This is strictly for my pleasure and
the site has not been developed extensively.
Cycletherapy is an undeveloped site where I explore using cycling related activities in psychotherapeutic applications.
I ran a psychotherapy group for 5 years (cycletherapy) in which seriously mentally ill adults repaired bicycles. Very
interesting results.
I welcome comments/feedback whether good or bad. Ultimately, I try to live by the following quote,
"But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it
for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus - the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace
of God."
